SUPPORTING STEAM EDUCATION

STEAM education is a learning and teaching approach that combines science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics to guide children through inquiry, discussion, and problem solving but in a tangible way.

STEAM’s hands-on and multi-disciplinary ability, creates a meaningful relationship with learning as it connects children with real- life applications, concepts and problems. It builds an opportunity for a connectiveness to the environment, land and culture that is relatable through hands-on activities and experiments.

STEAM builds bright futures for young tamariki as it prepares young learners for life beyond school and equips them with the knowledge and foundations for them to become the innovators and problem-solvers of tomorrow.
